Officials are putting a brave face on the announcement by Italy’s ENI on Sunday that it had found an estimated 30 trillion cubic feet offshore Egypt. And judging from the latest news about the interest by British oil and gas major BG in taking gas from Aphrodite in to its LNG plant in Idku, maybe it is not over yet.
